Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms were lovely and warm overnight, spacious and clean, albeit slightly dated; however, it didn't impact our stay as they were clean and comfortable. The rear room overlooked the car park above the kitchen, providing a cozy atmosphere. The service was top-notch with very friendly and chatty staff who went above and beyond to cater to our needs. The location was ideal for a pleasant overnight stay, offering fantastic food options and a safe environment for both adults and children. The dining experience was delightful with a variety of delicious dishes made to order. The facilities were well-kept for a relaxing stay.
The hotel has quite a few issues with tiny rooms not suitable for doubles. On the bright side, the rooms are fantastic with very comfy beds, tasty food, and reasonable prices all conveniently located along the same self-contained hallway. The service showed genuine interest in my requirements and was wonderful, clearly putting in a huge amount of effort into ensuring guests are well taken care of. The location massively exceeded expectations, being ideal for a journey to North Scotland with lovely warmth overnight and wonderful sleep after a good hike. The dining experience offered a selection of cereals, pastries, and fruits for continental breakfast, highly recommending the cooked breakfast, but an additional charge of £10 per person per night could be a consideration. Facilities were noted as limited but satisfactory. The hotel is next door to Wildlife Park.
The hotel's location was great for local walks and nearby sights, and the rooms, though a bit dated in parts, were immaculate and comfortable. The service was fantastic, especially in accommodating my wife's requests. The dining experience, despite being good, was a little expensive. The hotel's facilities were well-maintained and functional.
